St. Augustine's Nights of Lights opens Saturday, November 21, 2026 with the Light-Up! Night ceremony at 6:30 PM in the Plaza de la Constitución, and runs through January 18, 2027. More than three million lights cover the historic district. Free and walkable.
- When: November 21, 2026 to January 18, 2027, nightly
- Where: Historic downtown St. Augustine
- Cost: Free to walk, tours and trolleys ticketed
What to expect
This is the 33rd year, and National Geographic once ranked it among the world's top ten holiday light displays. Every building, tree, and railing in the historic district glows white. Opening night draws the biggest single crowd of the season for the ceremonial switch flip.
Before you go
Weeknights in early December beat weekend crowds by a mile. Park at the garage by the Visitor Information Center and walk. The trolley light tours sell out on weekends, so book those ahead if riding beats walking for your group.
