What Is “The Block” in Jacksonville?

The Block is designed as Jacksonville’s premier outdoor gathering space: think food hall energy with a big outdoor stage, daily music, family activities, and a dedicated dog area, all in one campus.

Location, Parking & Getting There

You’ll find The Block at 7520 Quarter Mill Dr (Southside/Gate Parkway area near IKEA). Project plans and local reporting note on-site parking as part of the build; details may evolve as opening nears.

Opening Timeline & “Block Party” Style Events

The venue is targeting Fall 2025 and is already accepting private-event bookings for that window. Expect a steady flow of live music, sports watch parties, family movie nights, and community activations once doors open; keep an eye on the official Events page for dates as they publish.

Food & Drink: Early Vendor Lineup to Watch

The Block is curating local JAX favorites across tacos, hot dogs, BBQ, desserts, coffee, and more. Names teased so far include Darkside Tacos, Chancho King, Slingin’ Wieners, Hungry Owl, Dairy Joy, Just Kitchen Pita Bar, Southern Swells, and Bearded Piglet (The Bearded Pig concept). Final rosters can shift pre-opening: follow the vendor page for updates.

Live Music, Sports & Big-Screen Moments

Programming calls for live music daily (local artists plus monthly touring acts) and major sports watch parties on a 30-foot LED wall: from college football Saturdays and Jags Sundays to pro playoffs. 

Kids & Dogs: Truly Family-Friendly

There’s a fenced Kids on the Block play area plus a Kanine Social expansion next door with a private dog park. Dogs are welcome on leash throughout The Block; they can go off-leash inside Kanine Social’s park.
