This Weekend (May 9–10)
DONNA Mother's Day 5K — Saturday, 8 AM at Friday Musicale, Riverside. Run for breast cancer support with your mom.
Waves of Gray 5K — Saturday, 8–11 AM at Latham Plaza & Seawalk Pavilion. Brain cancer awareness walk benefiting Baptist MD Anderson.
East Coast Showdown — Runs through Sunday, May 10 at 13611 Normandy Blvd. Free event.
October London, Lalah Hathaway & Eric Benet — Sunday, 7 PM at the Moran Theater, Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts. R&B packed lineup.
Curren$y, Premo Rice & Fendi P — Sunday at FIVE Jacksonville. Hip-hop night on the Southside.
All Week — Wild Amelia Nature Festival (Amelia Island)
Wild Amelia Nature Festival runs May 8–16 on Amelia Island — the 17th year and biggest to date. The lineup includes guided kayak tours, e-bike tours, river cruises, a fossil hunt, and nature talks all week long.
Highlights this week:
- Tuesday, May 12 — Wild Nite: wildlife educator Kristen Littles brings raccoon ambassador Crystal for a nature presentation.
- Friday, May 15 — Nature Photography Celebration with live music at Ft. Clinch Visitors Center, 6–8 PM.
- Saturday, May 16 — Wild Amelia Eco-Expo at Main Beach Park, 10 AM–3 PM, plus Nassau County Opening of the Beaches with live music all day.

Midweek (May 11–14)
White Reaper — Monday at The Albatross (fka The Underbelly). Rock night.
Jax Beach Farmers Market — Tuesday, May 12, 3–7 PM at Latham Plaza & Seawalk Pavilion. Local produce, vendors, open air.
End of Week (May 15–16)
JJ Grey & Mofro — Friday at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, Ponte Vedra Beach. Florida soul and swamp blues.
Journey — Saturday, 7:30 PM at VyStar Veterans Arena. The biggest show of the week, no question.
The Calling — Saturday, 8 PM at FIVE Jacksonville. Post-show option if you want to keep going.
