Bill Murray, the Most Famous Jaguars Fan

Bill Murray is from the Chicago area, which makes his Jaguars fandom one of the great unexplained adoptions in sports. He's attended training camp, posed for photos with former quarterback Blake Bortles, and NFL.com has listed him as the team's most famous fan.

Nobody assigned him to us. He picked Jacksonville on purpose, out of 32 options, and has stuck with it through seasons that tested everyone involved. That's not celebrity fandom. That's citizenship.

The Hometown Musicians: Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, and Fred Durst

Derek Trucks was born in Jacksonville, and the Grammy-winning guitarist has been a Jaguars fan since the franchise existed. Shad Khan once presented him with a custom jersey. When the Jaguars hosted their wild-card playoff game against the Chargers, Trucks and his wife Susan Tedeschi performed the national anthem. If you were in the building for that comeback, you already know the anthem was the second most emotional part of the evening.

Then there's Fred Durst. Limp Bizkit came out of Jacksonville in the 90s, and Durst has weighed in on the team publicly for years, including a Reddit AMA where he had roster opinions. Strong ones. Every Jaguars fan has roster opinions. His just came with platinum records.

Actors Who Rep the Jags

Patrick Heusinger, the Jacksonville-born actor from Black Swan and Absentia, keeps it simple: his social bio has read "diehard #Jaguars fan." No hedging, no second team. Respect.

Asher Grodman, who plays Trevor on the CBS comedy Ghosts, has backed the team since its first season in 1995 despite having no Jacksonville ties at all. He even wrote and produced the team's 2023 schedule release video. When your fandom is strong enough that the team hands you creative control, you've crossed from fan to family.

Winning brings people out, and the 13 and 4 season pulled a fresh wave of famous faces to EverBank. DJ Steve Aoki repped the team during the playoff run. Wildlife YouTuber Coyote Peterson, comedian and podcaster Noel Miller, and Love Island's Jacksonville-born Nic Vansteenberghe all showed up during the season. And the AEW wrestling roster came out in force for the Monday night Chiefs game, which tracks, since AEW founder Tony Khan is the owner's son and works in the Jaguars front office.
